In the book gossip girl it was alot of things going on. You would think that none of them were friends. Like when Serena came back from boarding school alot of rumors swarming around about her. The worse part was all her friends like Blair was laughing behind her back. The impression that I was under was that Blair and Serena were best friends. But then as I got deeper into the book it seemed as if Blair in a way hated Serena. I really didnt see a reason for Blair hating Serena. But then as I read on some more I started to think maybe Blair is just jelous of Serena because it seemed to me that Blair's boyfriend Nate and Serena were vey very close. To me that may have been a reason fot Blair having so much hatred twards Serena. To me in the book all the gossip that was going around revolved around Serena. It was always about her she was always in the spot light and if I was Blair I would have been a little jelous also. Another interesting thing that caught my eye was the relationship between Nate and Serena. At first I was little confused because I thought they went out, but it turns out that there just really close. I mean close, close if you know what i mean!!!!. Towards the end Serena really started to get the fact the Blair was mad at her there was so much tension. Then I started to see that Serena was slowly letting it go in the end she said this one line which was " Who needs them" which to me was a break through. Because at first I sorta saw Serena as the girl that you would know who had soo many friends. But they were'nt really friends because they talked behind your back. And that is exactly what they were doing. But in the end Serena just walked away from the whole thing and made new friends in which I was very pround of her she choose the better route. Which was to have friends that are your real friends. Rather then fake friends who just smile in you face and talk behind you back. For that I honor Serena she just brushed her shoulders off and walked away with her pride and dignety. Over all the book gets a 10/10 I think it taught me a real lesson. Not a lesson like not to hit people, yea we know that but this book taught me to never just take anyfriend you can get. Yea sure its nice to have friends but you wanna have friends that are your real friends and thats what I think i'm learning this year so that book helps me choose. I LOVED IT SO MUCH!!!
